- Can you provide a list of the "dark and light green vegetables" that might be included in a juice? I can think of some, but I know there are others...
- Can these vegetables be combined with fruit juices to make them more palatable?
- Our juicer doesn't handle things like spinach or other leafy greens. We have been grinding them up in the Cuisinart, then straining out the juice. Any better ideas?
- How about goat cheese and milk, is that considered dairy?
- Do you have a complete list of cold water fish? How about a resource book for preparation?
- Are organic frozen berries problematic? In the lecture, Gary mentioned not consuming anything that has been frozen for more than two weeks? Could you elaborate?
- "No flavorings" includes what? For example, are tamari and soy sauce considered flavorings?
- One of the things to be eliminated is caffeine. However, it says that caffeinated drinks can be replaced with Green tea. To my knowledge, there is no green tea without caffeine. Is Green tea really in alignment with the protocol?
- The purchasing of all organic foods, plus the amounts of supplements involved adds up pretty quick. Any suggestions for keeping this affordable?
- Dairy is eliminated and there is no supplemental calcium identified. As a woman, I am concerned about getting enough. Any thoughts?

| 1. It sounds like you want to learn about vegetables; their names and colors. You can go to a health food store and ask the produce manager to name the dark and light green vegetables for you; you can get Gary's book, The Joy of Juicing or The Complete Guide to Sensible Eating. I could rattle off names, but without a picture it might not be useful information for you. Also see step 5 in Gary's video series, 7 Steps to Perfect Health. |
| 2. Some people can tolerate the combination, some can't. This depends upon the strength and quantity of your digestive juices. Sometimes fruit sugars conflict with vegetable products and cause nausea. Gary Null's Red Stuff has no added sugar & mixing the Red & Green Stuff typically has no side-effect on the stomach. Again, check The Joy of Juicing. |
| 3. Sounds like you need a higher quality juicer. There are several out there. I use Gary's juicer and I can handle any vegetable, even parsley. |
| 4. Any infant's milk from another species does not belong in the adult human's body. We have a different digestion and immune system from goats; although the milk proteins are smaller than the ones in cow's milk. There are many milk alternatives, such as rice milk, oat milk, soy milk, etc. |
5. Pacific or Alaskan salmon, cod, halibut, mahi mahi & trout are acceptable. Look for fish that are not farmed (they feed them grains, which fish don't eat normally and they put antibiotics in the tanks because overcrowding causes biting). Avoid locally caught fish if you are in an industrialized city, and avoid catfish and shellfish, as these are bottom dwellers and often carry viruses and parasites.
Go to a fish store and ask them questions. That's what I do.
A resource book for preparing fish can be found at any book store or library. Gary also has his International Cookbook which has some great recipes. |
| 6. Freezing causes things to lose about 20% of their life energy. Prolonged freezing increases that number. Fresher is better for your body. |
| 7. Organic tamari and shoyu are fine. Avoid any artificial or synthetic ingredients. |
| 8. Green tea is made from the raw leaf and the percentage of caffeine in it is small; plus it has a different chemical composition from caffeine in chocolate, coffee and fermented teas. Green teas are loaded with antioxidants which have countless benefits in the body. If you check around, you will find several green teas without caffeine. Organic tamari and shoyu are fine. Avoid any artificial or synthetic ingredients. |
| 9. The savings from not purchasing meat, sugar, alcohol, cigarettes, synthetic OTC drugs, coffee, processed foods etc. FAR make up for the cost of grains, beans and vegetables which are actually very affordable. The conditioned ego wants to create a thousand reasons why you can't do something new, like this; but the higher self can make it an exciting adventure to explore new information. |
